Capstone summary
Students will complete an intensive, self-driven project within health data science in the capstone course. The goals of the capstone are to apply the skills acquired from the completed coursework, while refining the professional skills needed to formulate, execute, and disseminate project findings. Students will define a project, justify the need for the project, and pitch the project to their peers; identify and acquire data for the project; create a project workflow including an analysis plan; complete the project; and disseminate findings to their peers orally and in writing. Students will have intensive mentorship from course directors and peer feedback throughout the course. By the end of the term, students will have developed and executed a real-world health data science project.
