Career Path: Healthcare Administration
What makes Dartmouth's Career Resources distinctive is the personal touch and dedication of the Institute’s career staff and the resources they have to connect students and graduates with their desired work.
"Chandlee and the Career Services Center were instrumental in my success during the administrative fellowship application cycle. She was able to identify the aspects of my experience that made the most convincing argument for my hiring, and then worked with me to craft compelling materials for the application. These programs are highly competitive and intensive, and Chandlee made me feel comfortable, confident, encouraged, and proud to share my personal and professional story with these programs. Working with Career Services was exactly what I needed to successfully transition from academic pursuits to professional- to the point where my role began prior to graduation!"
- Emerson Frizzell MPH'20
Career Path: Healthcare Administration
My current role is an administrative fellow with a focus on health equity and population health, with Cone Health. This role allows me to expedite my career and journey into leadership while building business/financial acumen to couple with my educational background.
In my current work, I am a part of the enterprise leadership team and lead systemwide initiatives and project work, learn through rotations across the enterprise, and develop my leadership skills through interim roles as well as through interactions with senior leaders.
“For someone like me with varied interests, navigating job markets and applying to additional schooling can be hectic. At Dartmouth, Career Resources makes it easy to find the guidance and mentorship you need to set you on the right path”
- Eddie Rego, MD/MBA Candidate, MPH '21
Career Path: Physician in Clinical Practice and Healthcare Administration
While earning my MPH at Dartmouth, it was clear that Career Services was always available to support me. When it came time to apply to a public health position, and later when applying to medical school, Career Services helped every step of the way. Now, as a medical student, I chose to apply to business school for additional training in healthcare management. I messaged Chandlee, who was happy to help me design a resume that accurately depicted my past experiences. I start business school next year, and I know that I will continue to have support through Chandlee and the MPH Program's Career Services in my future work.
"Five years after graduation, Chandlee was accessible and responsive in assisting my transition from a clinician and management in an Academic Nonprofit HealthCare System to an Operations Management role with the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Chandlee worked with me to identify key skills and expertise to highlight in both my resume and during the interview process which led to my successful transition. Her feedback and guidance were both supportive and constructive. Chandlee's commitment to my success and career development years after graduation was greatly appreciated."
-Aimee Burnett, MPH'18
