Capstone summary:
Students will apply their statistical, computational, and investigative skillsets while working on a real-world application of medical informatics through the capstone course. This 10-week experience culminates in a white paper and research presentation. Students will refine their professional skills including defining and executing a research project, scientific writing, and presenting project findings. Completion of the capstone positions graduates to become even more competitive in the job market by demonstrating competency not just in the application of data science outside of the classroom setting, but in high-value professional skills needed for success in the increasingly multidisciplinary field of medical informatics.

- Summer Term: Capstone course (2.0 Units)
(Additional coursework is taken to meet the 3.0 Unit minimum term requirement)
