Practicum Highlight: Amrah Hasan, MPH ’25
A physician with a passion for systems-level quality improvement, Amrah Hasan focused her practicum on standardizing how Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center evaluates patients for Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT). By creating a consistent, patient-centered assessment tool, she’s helping streamline care transitions, reduce discharge delays, and improve outcomes for patients receiving IV antibiotics outside the hospital.

Practicum Highlight: Carleigh Drill, MPH'25
Carleigh Drill, a Clinical Research Coordinator at UCHealth and an MPH candidate at Dartmouth, completed a practicum project aimed at improving health literacy among refugee women in Manchester, New Hampshire. In collaboration with the International Institute of New England, her project focused on addressing health disparities faced by displaced women, particularly those with limited English proficiency. Through focus groups and educational workshops, Carleigh's initiative empowered participants to better navigate healthcare systems, fostering improved health outcomes. Her work highlights the importance of health literacy in underserved populations and sets the stage for future community-driven health initiatives.
