Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine Launches Partnership with City Year to Expand Access to Health Sciences Education
The Geisel School of Medicine has announced a new partnership with City Year, offering a 30% tuition discount to qualified City Year AmeriCorps members, alumni, and staff for master’s programs in Public Health and Health Sciences. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to service, education, and improving health outcomes in communities across the country.
Through this initiative, up to two eligible City Year applicants each year will receive a 30% tuition discount, renewable for the duration of their program. The scholarship applies to Dartmouth’s specialized Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science (MS) programs. These include both online and in-person options focused on public health, healthcare research, epidemiology, data science, medical informatics, and implementation science. To qualify, City Year AmeriCorps members and alums must have completed at least one term of service. City Year staff are eligible after two or more years of employment.
Dartmouth’s MPH and MS programs, offered through the prestigious Geisel School of Medicine, are designed for individuals who are eager to harness data to influence policy, apply quality improvement tools to create meaningful change, and translate research into action to improve public health outcomes. Students join a diverse, mission-driven community of scholars, clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals working to advance health equity, reduce disparities, and strengthen healthcare systems around the world.
City Year and Dartmouth share a belief in the power of service, leadership, and education to transform communities. This new partnership helps City Year members and alumni take the next step in their journey as changemakers, now with increased access to world-class education.
